JFS demonstrates our commitment to our staff by offering a comprehensive benefits package and a nurturing environment.The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for providing clinical supervision of direct service staff providing individual and group therapy mental health services to older adults in a senior center. Work as part of a team on a two-year pilot project to provide Older Adult Specialty Mental Health services embedded in a senior multipurpose center. Qualifications:- LCSW or LMFT licensed by the State of CA Board of Behavioral Science
- 2 years of experience providing clinical supervision
- Able to provide quality clinical supervision and coaching to licensed, and unlicensed clinical staff and provision of related clinical licensing hours
- Excellent clinical skills, strongly embedded in both individual and group therapy modalities
- Ability to create/provide curriculum-based training on general group facilitation skills as well as ongoing coaching and training on curriculum regarding grief and loss and other related group focused therapy.
- Strong prior clinical experience working with older adults in a senior services or related setting required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be computer literate in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Culturally sensitive and able to work with multi-cultural client population
- Able to work in a non-judgmental manner and foster positive outcomes
- Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) prior to beginning employment
Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the clinical supervision of approximately 5 direct service staff providing mental health services specifically in the modalities of group and individual therapy to older adults in a senior center environment.
- Up to 6 hours per week supervision for staff involved in group and individual therapy. Additional up to 20 hours for initial/ongoing group facilitation training over the project year.
- Provide solid curriculum-based group facilitation training to project team and ongoing coaching regarding topics and curriculum used for group cycles including grief and loss, and life reminiscence groups.
- Review of clinical documentation and quality assurance monitoring to ensure meeting mental health requirements
- Provide weekly individual and group supervision to licensed and unlicensed staff on this project on cases and groups toward provision of clinical hours toward licensing.
- Coordinate and attend consultation meetings as needed with staff on project and maintain regular communication with senior center program director and intra-agency multi-disciplinary teams
