MSSP Supervisor

For more information on our philosophy and services, please tour our website www.jfsla.org The Multipurpose Senior Service Program (MSSP) Supervisor will be responsible for direct supervision of case management staff and coordination of the intake process for MSSP and MSSP like programs.  Duties include: oversight of all aspects of case management activities; orientation and onboarding of new case management staff; clinical supervision; chart and progress notes reviews.  

QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, nursing, counseling, gerontology, sociology, or rehabilitation
  • Minimum of two years of experience working directly with frail older adults.
  • Demonstrated expertise and ability as a care manager required, as evidenced by experience successfully carrying out these job duties.
  • Ability to supervise and train professionals and implement complex regulations with attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise strong clinical judgment and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of community resources and issues of aging
  • Experience in care management and community-based service delivery with older adults
  • Knowledge of safety issues when working with at-risk clients
  • Must be computer literate in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Candidates must have interest and demonstrated ability to:

    • Be culturally sensitive and able to work with a multicultural client population
    • Work in a non-judgmental manner
    • Foster positive growth/outcomes and work as part of a team
    • Maintain professional boundaries
    • Comply with documentation procedures
  • Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) prior to beginning employment

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Supervision of all case management activities, including assessment, care planning, and interventions
  • Monitoring caseloads to ensure client safety and program compliance
  • Review of referrals and case assignments in the Electronic Health Record system
  • Weekly clinical supervision of care management and nursing staff
  • Implementation of CDA documentation requirements
  • Responsible for quality assurance of the MSSP program, including ongoing review of electronic records and client charts, to ensure documentation complies with CDA regulations
  • Participation in program management and policy-making
  • Participation in program outreach to identify and build relationships with social service and behavioral health providers in the service area
  • Crisis intervention as needed
  • Supervision of student interns as needed
  • Other related duties as assigned
